Portland, OR – Nearly ten years ago Bullseye Glass Company started an international competition to seek out emerging talent in the field of kilnformed glass. Although the name has changed over the years, the focus of the competition has not. The competition is an expression of Bullseye’s commitment to emerging artists. For many finalists and award winners, Emerge is the starting point from which their careers were launched. Evolve gathers together, for the first time, many of the former award winners.
Evolve overlaps with Bullseye Glass Company'sEmerge 2012, which features finalists from Bullseye Glass Company’s seventh biennial juried kiln-glass competition for emerging artists. Selections from both Emerge 2012 and Evolve will travel to the New Mexico Museum of Art in late 2012, and then to Bullseye‘s Resource Center Bay Area Gallery in early 2013.
