Orfeo Quagliata: Phuze

Holiday sparkle for you and your home! The Bullseye Connection Gallery will showcase Orfeo Quagliata’s Phuze collection of jewelry and giftware November 26, 2004 – January 8, 2005.

Portland, OR –The Bullseye Connection Gallery presents Orfeo Quagliata’s Phuze exhibition on view from November 26, 2004 – January 8, 2005.

Orfeo Quagliata’s Phuze collection for Bullseye will include beautiful multi-hued vases, champagne glasses with square fused glass stems, and an array of jewelry. The rings, necklaces and bracelet shapes are organic and modern, with rounded forms that resemble jewel-toned water creatures or mid-century furniture. Their spare shapes and exquisite colors are a playful compliment to adornment.

Housed in an abandoned bottle factory in Mexico City, Phuze is an artist collective dedicated to pushing the boundaries of functional glass art. Phuze was founded in 2000 by Orfeo Quagliata and his father, glass artist Narcissus Quagliata.

Quagliata’s Phuze glassware was featured in Metropolitan Home’s 2004 Design Top 100.
